It’s here! The week we wait all year for: Thanksgiving week! So in preparation of the BIG DAY, here’s a blog post with all of our favorite Thanksgiving-friendly recipes in one handy dandy spot. Here goes!
stuffed mushroom caps, sausage stuffing, cranberry salsa, cranberry sauce
brown butter butternut squash, crash hot potatoes, baked acorn squash, oven roasted butternut squash
loaded mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, roasted brussels sprouts, brussels sprouts with bacon
roasted cauliflower with panko, haricot vert with bacon, baked apples
apple pear crisp, apple galette, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, strawberry rhubarb pie
And finally, here’s one of my favorite side dishes: sweet potato casserole with marshmallows. I know many people think this dish is too sweet to be served with dinner, but I love it all the same. Hope you guys have a lovely turkey day with your loved ones!

serves: 6-8
ingredients:
4 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes
1/2 cup brown or white sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
2-3 cups miniature marshmallows
optional topping:
1 1/4 cups cornflakes cereal, crushed
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter, melted
directions:
Bake sweet potatoes at 400° for about 1 hour or until tender. Let cool to touch; peel and mash sweet potatoes. Beat mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, butter, eggs, vanilla, spices and salt at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. Spoon potato mixture into a greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, add marshmallows or cornflake topping and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until topping is browned. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
